In Algebra 2, we just completed an activity on finding the slope of the pyramid of Kukulan at Chichen Itza. Students worked with partners to brainstorm ideas on how to go about finding the rise and run of the steps of teh pyramid. We then regrouped as a class the next day & calculated the math using the Pythagorean Theorem and similar tringles.
